Palladium Wedding
pairing a white gold engagement ring with a palladium wedding band?
My engagement ring is a 5 mm (1/2 carat) moissanite solitaire set in 14K white gold. I recently came across a palladium wedding band, at a really great price, on a local jeweler’s website. I was planning on going to the jeweler’s to look at it, but since the store is a little over an hour away, I don’t want to waste time and gasoline to get there if the two metals are not going to pair together.
Will a palladium wedding band clash excessively with the white gold of my engagement ring, or is the difference only noticed if one looks closely?
@TheOriginal GarnetGlitter, I was actually considering getting my engagement ring stone re-set in a palladium setting, since I’m really regretting NOT getting it set in palladium originally. Since I work with my hands a lot, the durability of palladium is definitely something I’m interested in.
I would see about getting a similar palladium setting for your e-ring stone if you really have your heart set on the palladium …while the color difference may not be too obvious each have a different hardness and one could wear upon the the other over time.
