Eternity Brilliant
Is Purgatory the only reasonable explination for a Christian afterlife?
OK, many people tell me that God cannot live with sin, which is why confessing sins is necessary for salvation. However, they claim that, because of that, any non-Christian will burn in hell forever, because they did not let Jesus forgive their sins, correct?
However, we all know that an all-Just God can not possibly send someone to hell for eternity based on only 90 years of doing bad things (Imagine a judge giving a life sentence for stealing a candy bar)
So…
Purgatory! When we die, we ask God for forgiveness, and as penance for our sins, we are punished for a finite amount of time, then go to heaven for all eternity!
Brilliant!
I would call that just, wouldn’t you? Even a god who let non-believers or “unsaved’ people die is still just. Hell because of ignorance is not. That is dictatorship.
