Cut Princess
Which center stone is more elegant: emerald cut, princess cut or round?
For a platinum band engagement ring with encrusted diamonds all around the band?
The center stone must look like a knockout. Nothing tacky or cheap looking, but it will be over 5 carats.
I am looking for the “Wow” factor for the ring. I want it to have a very rich look, like Melania Trump’s ring…What are the pros and cons of the emerald vs. the round vs. the princess cuts?

Clearly you’re looking for the WOW Factor. An emerald cut diamond doesn’t have as much sparkle…looks like glass, whereas the princess and round stones have more facets to bounce off the light. Princess is more modern. The round and emerald…more traditional. Why don’t you look into the asscher cut diamond. It is a combination of all of the above, it’s gorgeous.
