Where can I buy a bracelet ID charm?
I wanted to buy my friend, who’s graduating high school this year, an engraved bracelet for his birthday. The only money I have is whatever change my parents let me keep so I can’t buy one from Things Remembered. I’ve been Google-ing all day but I can’t find anywhere to buy just the tag/charm part(I can get a leather strap from family).

Here is an idea which is doable, but you may have to step outside your comfort zone to pull it off.
Call this company and ask them for a sample piece of 1/8 x 2″ x 1/2″ type 304 Stainless Steel steel bar. That will get you a strip of metal which is 1/8″ thick x 1/2″ high x 2″ wide. Just like the one in the link you posted. http://www.pacificmetal.com/Stockbook/SS/SS_RDnBR.htm
Tell them it’s for a school project or tell them the truth.
When you get it, drill a hole in each end to put your leather strap through. Next take it to a jewelry store or a specialty engraving shop or even a trophy manufacturing shop to have it engraved with your friends name on it. You can even engrave it yourself if you have access to a Dremel tool. Many kids have one for crafts so ask your friends.
Be sure to polish it really good when you are done.
