Cut Diamonds
Can jewelers cut diamonds into different shapes?
I’m getting a family ring pass down to me, but its very old and lets saw “Non stylish” Is it possible to get it cut into different shapes? If so, do you loss a lot of the diamond when you cut it? Thanks!
it is possible to recut the diamond but doing so will remove parts of the diamond in turn lowing its value.
leave the diamond alone and just have all diamonds and jewels removed from the ring, sell some, keep some, keep all…have the ring itself melted down and then have a new custom ring made. Or just have the jewels reset into a different band.
