OUR RELATIONSHIP
At all times you will be considered a Licensee during YOUR stay at the Crown Brownstone located at 958 St. Marks Avenue, Brooklyn, New York. Basically, Crown Brownstone, Inc. is giving you permission to enter the property.  All references made to YOU will always mean YOU are a Licensee.
INDENTIFICATION

We require two forms of identification upon your arrival. We will need a Passport, a current United States Driver’s License, or a Permanent Resident Alien Card as the primary form of ID. The I.D. must contain a picture. We reserve the right to request additional forms of identification, including a copy of your travel itinerary.

YOU will need to provide us with at least one (1) personal contact in case of an emergency. We may verify the ability to reach the emergency contact at any time.

We will never discriminate against any person on the basis of sex, race, origin, religion, gender, age, and/or disability. However, it is our policy not to allow minors on the premises. We may make an exception if the minor is accompanied by an adult.   
REFUNDS

We will give full refunds if we are notified via email within 7 days of your intended check-out date. Any days that fall within the 7 day period will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee, and any cancellations the day of your check-in / check-out will not receive a refund. If you have paid for a monthly rate and check-out prior to the completion of your first month, your refund will be prorated at a one-month rate. Please note that refunds are only given in two scenarios: (1) if we are booked full and you are on a waiting list or (2) if you check out early. Leaving the Crown Brownstone (such as for weekend trips) during the middle of a paid monthly rate does not qualify for a refund.

DEPOSITS WITH HOSTELBOOKERS, HOSTELWORLD & OTHER BOOKING AGENTS.
5% to 10% deposits made through booking engines such as Hostelbookers.com,  Hostelworld.com and other booking agents are non-refundable under any circumstance. These deposits are booking commissions earned by Hostelbookers, Hostelworld and other booking agents. We do not receive these deposits. Please note that your remaining balance will be charged prior to your check-in date.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIME
Check-in time is 1pm. You may arrive as early as 8am, but please note that your bed will not be ready until the afternoon. If you plan on checking in earlier than 8am, you will need to notify us in advance.
TERM
Check-out time is 11am. YOU shall, upon termination of OUR AGREEMENT, vacate and return the facility in the same condition that it was received. YOU agree to submit to any room assignment changes to rooms or bunk beds of equal or greater value at any time during YOUR stay.
PAYMENT

YOU agree to payment for the rental of the property for the duration of OUR AGREEMENT. YOU agree to pay the remaining balance upon arrival at the property. 

PAYPAL or OTHER CREDIT CARD MERCHANTS

Refunds can take up to 10 business days during processing to show up on your statement. You can request a transaction ID from us, which will allow you to track the refund via Paypal or any other credit card merchant. Please note that any refunds will be processed immediately after you check out.

USE

YOU agree not to use the premises in such a manner that disturbs the peace and quiet enjoyment of other tenants in the building. LICENSEE is prohibited from conducting any business or commercial activities on the premises. LICENSEE is prohibited from sublease of any part or portion of the premises under any circumstance. Failure of LICENSEE and his or her guests to comply with the terms of this AGREEMENT or ANY TERM OR CONDITION IMPLEMENTED BY CROWN BROWNSTONE, INC. and it's agents, including but not limited to any illegal activities or unwanted behavior, is grounds for termination of the LICENSEE agreement, with appropriate notices to LICENSEE as required by the laws of New York State.

GUEST POLICY

It is OUR general policy to allow YOUR guests on the premises only if CROWN BROWNSTONE, INC. and it’s agents have been made aware of the arrival of YOUR guest on the premises. NO Guest of LICENSEE shall be permitted to stay overnight at the premises without the express written permission of CROWN BROWNSTONE, INC and without the payment by Guest or by LICENSEE for value of any overnight stay. CROWN BROWNSTONE, INC. shall treat any Guest of LICENSEE as a trespasser if CROWN BROWNSTONE, INC. has not given its express written permission for the Guest to reside and/or be on the premises.

SECURITY

YOUR security and comfort is our #1 concern. By staying at the Crown Brownstone, you consent to being monitored for security purposes. This includes video surveillance in common areas inside and outside the property.

LIABILITY

LICENSEE shall be responsible for any damage cause by LICENSEE, and shall pay Crown Brownstone, Inc. the reasonable value of the destroyed property.
LICENSEE agrees to discharge, hold harmless, and forever acquit CROWN BROWNSTONE, INC. its officers, agents, representatives, and employees from any and all actions, causes of action, claims, or any liabilities and injuries whatsoever, known or unknown now existing or which may arise in the future, on account of or in any way related to or arising out of LICENSEE’s occupation at or on the premises. LICENSEE shall hold CROWN BROWNSTONE, INC. its officers, agents, representatives, and employees from any and all actions, causes of action, claims, or any liabilities and injuries whatsoever, known or unknown now existing or which may arise in the future, on account of or in any way related to or arising out of any guest LICENSEE brings to the premises.

NO SMOKING

There is no smoking, of any kind, allowed anywhere in the building. As you can understand, this is for the health and safety of the staff and other residents in the building. HOWEVER, you may smoke, OUTSIDE, in the back yard.
